How should I care for Kit Blake trousers?
As a general rule, tailored trousers should be dry cleaned rather than machine washed.
Cotton and linen trousers may be easier to care for, but they should still be treated carefully to preserve the shape and finish.
What makes Kit Blake trousers different?
Kit Blake trousers are classic men’s trousers with a high rise, side-adjusters, pleats across most styles and a fuller cut.
They are designed to have the comfort and shape of traditional tailored trousers, without feeling old fashioned. The fit is cleaner, more elegant and more relaxed than most modern slim trousers.
Are Kit Blake trousers high waisted?
Yes, Kit Blake trousers are cut with a higher rise than most modern trousers.
They are designed to sit closer to the natural waist, rather than low on the hips. This helps create a cleaner line through the body and gives the trousers their classic shape.
Are Kit Blake trousers slim fit?
Kit Blake trousers are not skinny or low rise.
Some styles are slimmer than others, but the overall fit is always based on a classic tailored trouser. The Delon is our slimmest style, while the Aleks is our fullest. The Grant and Duke sit between the two.
Which Kit Blake style is right for me?
The best Kit Blake style for you depends on how full you like your trousers to be.
The Aleks is our fullest cut, with double pleats and a generous leg. The Grant is also full cut, but slightly more tapered, and is our bestselling style. The Duke is a single pleated trouser with a classic fit, sitting between the fuller Aleks and the slimmer Delon. The Delon is our slimmest style, but it is still not skinny.
What is the difference between Aleks, Grant, Duke and Delon trousers?
The main difference between Aleks, Grant, Duke and Delon is the cut.
The Aleks is the fullest, with double pleats and a generous leg. The Grant is full cut with a slightly more tapered shape. The Duke has a single pleat and a classic fit. The Delon is the slimmest style in the range, but still keeps the Kit Blake look.
Which Kit Blake style is the fullest?
The Aleks is the fullest Kit Blake trouser.
It has double pleats, a high rise and a generous leg. It is the closest style to a traditional Savile Row inspired trouser, and is a good choice if you like a more relaxed, classic shape.
Which Kit Blake style is the slimmest?
The Delon is the slimmest Kit Blake trouser.
It has a single pleat and a slimmer leg than our other styles, but it is still not a skinny trouser. It is a good choice if you want the Kit Blake look in a slightly sharper shape.
What size should I order?
We recommend checking the size chart before ordering Kit Blake trousers.
The best way to choose your size is to compare the measurements with a pair of trousers you already own and like. Waist size alone can be misleading, especially with higher rise trousers, so it is worth checking the rise, thigh, hem and inside leg too.

Are Kit Blake trousers true to size?
Kit Blake trousers generally fit true to their size, but the rise and cut are different from many modern trousers.
Because they sit higher on the body, they may feel different if you are used to low rise or slim trousers. We recommend checking the size chart and comparing the measurements with trousers you already wear.
Can the waist be altered?
A tailor may be able to make small changes to the waist of Kit Blake trousers.
As with most tailored trousers, we recommend keeping any waist alterations small. If you are between sizes, check the size chart carefully and consider how you like trousers to sit at the waist.
Can Kit Blake trousers be shortened?
Yes, Kit Blake trousers can be shortened by a tailor.
All of our trousers come with unfinished hems, so they are made to be finished to your preferred length. You can choose a plain hem or a turn up, depending on how you want them to look.
Can I return trousers after alterations?
No, altered trousers cannot be returned.
Because Kit Blake trousers come unfinished, please make sure you are happy with the size, fit and style before having them hemmed or altered.
What fabrics do you use?
Kit Blake uses quality cloth from respected mills, including Italian, British and Irish suppliers.
Depending on the season, the range includes wool flannel, Fresco wool, tropical wool, linen, cotton twill, corduroy, seersucker and tweed. Each fabric is chosen to suit the cut of the trousers and the season it is designed for. Some of the mills we work with include Vitale Barberis Canonico, Fox Brothers, Spence Bryson, Maison Hellard and Brisbane Moss.
Are Kit Blake trousers suitable for summer?
Yes, many Kit Blake trousers are suitable for summer.
For warm weather, we recommend linen, cotton, Fresco wool and tropical wool. The fuller cut also helps in summer, as the cloth sits slightly away from the skin and allows more air to move through the trouser.
Are Kit Blake trousers suitable for winter?
Yes, Kit Blake trousers are very well suited to autumn and winter.
For colder months, wool flannel, corduroy, tweed and heavier cottons are the best options. These cloths work especially well with the higher rise and fuller cut of our trousers.
What are the best Kit Blake trousers for the office?
The best Kit Blake trousers for the office are usually wool flannel for autumn and winter, and Fresco wool or tropical wool for spring and summer.
Grey, navy and brown are the easiest colours to wear for smarter settings. If your office is more relaxed, cotton twill, linen or corduroy can also work well.
Can I wear Kit Blake trousers casually?
Yes, Kit Blake trousers can be worn casually.
They work well with knitwear, overshirts, polos, casual shirts, suede shoes, loafers and trainers, depending on the fabric. Cotton, linen, corduroy and seersucker are especially easy to dress down.
